Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Location:

Walpole, MA Salary Range: $105K - $130K (commensurate with experience)

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute quality control plans for new product development and existing programs
  • Manage customer and supplier performance, including scorecards, SCARs, and corrective action follow-up
  • Lead MRB activities and ensure proper disposition of non-conforming materials
  • Oversee supplier qualification and PPAP processes for new and existing suppliers
  • Provide inspection reports, test data, and AS9102 documentation for source and first article inspections
  • Coordinate and manage source inspections and audit activities (internal and external)
  • Conduct data analysis, SPC, and root cause investigations to drive continuous improvement
  • Maintain and improve quality systems, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, AS9100, and applicable regulatory standards
  • Lead first article inspections and develop incoming inspection plans
  • Partner cross-functionally to resolve product quality, manufacturing, and field issues
  • Manage calibration of inspection, measurement, and test equipment
  • Drive CAPA processes and ensure timely resolution of quality issues
  • Create and refine SOPs and work instructions to support quality initiatives
  • Utilize inspection tools, measurement equipment, and testing methodologies
  • Support hiring, training, and development of QA technicians
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in quality, manufacturing, or supply chain within a technical or regulated environment
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, standards, and regulatory compliance (ISO, AS9100 preferred)
  • Experience with root cause analysis methodologies (8D, Six Sigma, Lean)
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and quality tools
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
  • Experience with supplier quality and audit processes
  • Familiarity with tools such as Net-Inspect, Exostar, Jira, and Confluence a plus
  • Experience with military or defense customers is a plus
