Biochemist – 1st Shift Training, Transition to 2nd Shift

This position covers Laboratory Diagnostic Manufacturing, providing Technician support in the Reagents work center and updating ongoing builds.

2nd Shift

Hours:

3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with an additional 10% shift differential.

• Quality Notification support
• Support the review and updating of manufacturing procedures
• Drive Continuous Improvement activities
• Problem solving – Has a working knowledge of available tools related to job function
• Incorporate the different databases, applications, personal knowledge, and individual experiences to efficiently support batch record completion
• Help to reach department goals and objectives through collaboration and influence
• Support various projects
• This position includes the handling of all types of materials, including hazardous and DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) controlled materials
• Occasional off-shift work may be required

• BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 0-2 years of lab experience
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Excellent laboratory technique
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must have legible handwriting
• Ability to work individually and in a team setting
• Must pass a Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) background check

$79,800 – $109,725. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
