The Home at Walpole seeks a Temporary Kitchen Manager for their residential and school campus.
How You'll Be Making a DifferenceThe Temp Kitchen Manager position has the following responsibilities:
- Cooks and prepares healthy, well-balanced meals according to USDA/DESE Food Programs and HFLW menus.
- Responsible for the overall management of food services on-site, including vendor ordering, stocking and stock rotation.
- Receives and stores all food in compliance with food safety standards.
- Maintains a clean and organized kitchen.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 2–3 years working in a large cooking/kitchen environment preferred.
- Serv Safe certification and Food Allergy Training required.
- Skilled cook with ability to follow USDA recipes and prepare meals from a cycle menu.
- Prior experience working in a residential/institutional kitchen preferred.

Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including a candidate’s relevant experience, education, skills, and internal equity relative to other employees in similar roles. Candidates with less directly related experience may be placed toward the lower end of the range, while those with extensive or specialized experience may be placed toward the higher end.
