Electrical Qualified Supervisor

Position: Electrical Qualified Supervisor (Contract)
ROLE OVERVIEW
Surefire Management Services (SMS) is seeking an experienced Electrician with Qualified Supervisor (QS) status to support the delivery of retrofit and decarbonisation works across social housing and public sector projects. The role includes installation, inspection, testing, certification, and compliance oversight in line with BS 7671, Building Regulations, PAS, and MCS standards where applicable.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Electrical Installation & Testing

• Domestic and light commercial installations

• Consumer unit upgrades and rewires

• Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP) electrical connections

• Solar PV and battery storage installations

• High Heat Retention Storage Heaters

• Ventilation systems (Part F compliance)

• Electrical Inspection & Testing (EICR)

• Completion of EIC, MEIWC, and Minor Works Certificates
Qualified Supervisor (QS) Duties

• Act as nominated QS for NICEIC/NAPIT registration

• Ensure compliance with BSth Edition)

• Ensure compliance with Building Regulations (Part P, L,

F)

• Oversee and technically review installations

• Conduct internal audits and compliance checks

• Maintain calibration records for test equipment

• Support NICEIC, Trust Mark, PAS, and MCS audits
Compliance & Documentation

• Accurate and timely completion of certification

• Upload documentation to compliance systems

• Support O&M manual preparation

• Maintain Golden Thread documentation standards
Health & Safety

• Work in accordance with CDM 2015

• Comply with Electricity at Work Regulations

• Follow company RAMS

• Carry out dynamic risk assessments
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)

• AM2

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)

• Inspection & Testingor equivalent)

• NICEIC or NAPIT Qualified Supervisor (QS) status

• ECS Gold Card

• Full UK Driving Licence
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

• MCS accreditation experience (PV / Battery)

• EV Charger installation qualification

• PAS 2030 knowledge

• Experience with in social housing retrofit
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Minimum 5 years domestic electrical experience

• Experience supervising electricians

• Experience signing off certification as QS

• Experience with in ECO4, SHDF, HUG or similar frameworks
