Maintenane Assistant

We are looking for a confident Maintenance Assistant with a passion for delivering outstanding care. You’ll be working 42 hours a week, making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Cygnet Kenney House.

• Provide comprehensive maintenance and repair services.
• Carry out a range of tasks including basic joinery, plumbing, painting and general building work.
• Maintain equipment, services and vehicles.
• Comply with safe working practices and report faulty equipment and hazards.
• Check fire alarm points, fire exits, door retaining devices and emergency lights weekly.
• Travel to other sites and, on occasion, be on call for emergency repairs outside normal working hours.

• Experienced in a similar role or have worked in a self‑employed capacity in recent years.
• Willing to travel and hold a full valid driving licence.
• Able to communicate at all levels and record detailed, accurate maintenance information.
• Skilled at DIY and general maintenance.
• Preferably experienced in the electrical, plumbing or construction industry.
• Friendly, conscientious, and an excellent team member with a positive attitude.
