Warehouse Operative - Steel

All About The Role

Based at our Barrett Engineering Steel Willenhall Site, we are looking for a passionate and committed Warehouse Operative to be part of our skilled and dedicated workforce. The shifts will be rotational Monday to Friday 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, followed by Monday to Friday 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

• Pick computer‑generated orders, handling and lifting heavy and large items.
• Accurately record stock movement and usage, along with product identification and use of measuring equipment.
• Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Transfer stock and operate saws, overhead cranes, fork lifts, side loaders and side trackers after full training.
• Assist in the overall production and dispatch of customers’ orders.
• Maintain high levels of Health and Safety at all times.
• Be adaptable and flexible in approach to work to meet operational requirements.
• Perform any ad‑hoc duties as required.

• £27,316 per annum.

• Experience as a warehouse operative.
• Ability to work safely and adhere to all health and safety procedures.
• A flexible, results‑oriented attitude and a taste for teamwork.
• Experience using mobile equipment (e.g. forklift, overhead crane).
• Ability to read written instructions and record work accurately.
• A full UK driving licence.
