THE ROLE
As a Multi-Skilled MET Technician, you'll be responsible for carrying out a wide range of mechanical, electrical and trim repairs within a busy accident repair environment.
Your work will include the safe removal, repair and refitting of mechanical, electrical and trim components, supporting structural and body repairs, carrying out diagnostic work and ensuring vehicles are rebuilt safely and correctly following accident damage.
You'll work on modern vehicles and use manufacturer repair methods and technical information to ensure every repair is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest possible standard.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strip and refit mechanical, electrical and trim components from accident-damaged vehicles.
- Remove and refit vehicle components to support panel and structural repair work.
- Carry out the safe removal and installation of suspension, steering, braking and other mechanical components where required.
- Remove, replace and refit interior and exterior trim components.
- Carry out diagnostic checks and identify mechanical and electrical faults associated with accident damage.
- Complete four-wheel alignment checks and adjustments where required.
- Work with modern vehicle systems, including sensors, cameras and driver-assistance components where appropriate.
- Ensure components are correctly fitted, aligned and functioning before vehicle completion.
- Follow manufacturer repair methods, technical information and industry repair standards.
- Work efficiently to maximise productive hours while maintaining exceptional repair quality.
- Work closely with Panel Beaters, Paint Technicians, Vehicle Damage Assessors and Workshop Controllers to maintain an efficient repair workflow.
- Inspect completed work to ensure consistently high-quality standards and first-time repair accuracy.
- Ensure all work is completed within agreed repair timescales.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment.
- Comply with all relevant health and safety procedures.
ABOUT YOU

- Previous experience as an MET Technician, MET Strip Fitter or Multi-Skilled Technician within an automotive bodyshop or accident repair centre.
