Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and versatile Carpenter for a 2-week contract on a project based in Walsall.

This role requires a skilled tradesperson capable of handling both structural carpentry and high-quality internal finishes. You will be splitting your time between structural works and standard second-fix internal installations.

Key Responsibilities:

Roofing Works:
Installing structural roof joists and laying flat roof decking to architectural specifications, ensuring solid structural integrity and correct falls.

Second Fix Works:
Installing internal doors, ironmongery, skirting boards, architraves, and other finishings to a high standard of workmanship.

Site Safety:
Working safely at height and following all site-specific health, safety, and environmental guidelines.

Requirements (Minimum Criteria):

Qualifications:

Valid CSCS Card is mandatory.

Certifications:

Must hold Working at Heights and Asbestos Awareness certificates. (

Note:

If you do not currently hold these, they can be completed quickly online prior to the Monday, 20th July start date).

Tools:
Must have your own full kit of professional carpentry tools (both first and second-fix tools) and full PPE.

Experience:

Proven track record in both structural roofing and internal second-fix carpentry.
