Pay: £13.50 per hour (negotiable, depending on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day (flexible start/finish between 6:00am–4:00pm)

Contract: Ongoing / long-term opportunity

We’re looking for a Kiln Car Repairer to join a busy manufacturing site in Aldridge, Walsall
. This is a hands‑on, physical role where you’ll be responsible for stripping down, cleaning, repairing and rebuilding kiln cars to keep production running smoothly and safely.

Kiln cars are large and heavy‑duty, capable of holding up to 20,000 bricks at one time
, so attention to detail, safe working practices and the ability to work efficiently are key.

• Using small hand tools to take apart kiln cars and access damaged or worn components
• Hoovering/cleaning kiln cars thoroughly before and after maintenance
• Repairing or replacing parts in a timely manner to minimise downtime
• Reassembling kiln cars correctly and safely, ensuring they’re ready for use
• Manual handling as part of the role, including lifting up to 25kg

• Experience in a hands‑on repair / maintenance / mechanical environment (kiln car experience is beneficial but not essential)
• Confident using basic hand tools and working to practical instructions
• Able to work at pace while maintaining quality and safety standards
• Comfortable with physical work and manual handling (up to 25kg

• Reliable, punctual and able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team
