We're recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established and growing commercial vehicle business in Willenhall.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician looking for a Monday-to-Friday role with no weekend working, excellent earning potential and the chance to develop your skills across a diverse and specialist fleet.
The successful technician will work on a varied range of vehicles, from 4x4 vehicles through to commercial vehicles up to 32 tonnes, making this a genuinely varied role where no two days are necessarily the same.
The RoleAs an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing a varied fleet of commercial vehicles.
- Working on vehicles ranging from 4x4s through to vehicles up to 32 tonnes.
- Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults.
- Carrying out routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Completing defect repairs and ensuring vehicles are safe and roadworthy.
- Working on a variety of specialist equipment and vehicles.
- Completing job cards, inspection sheets and maintenance records accurately.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop environment.
- Supporting the wider team to ensure fleet vehicles remain operational and minimise downtime.
We're looking for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician with:
- An HGV qualification is preferred, although candidates with strong relevant experience will also be considered.
- Previous experience working as an HGV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic fault-finding skills.
- Experience working across a commercial vehicle or fleet environment.
- A reliable and professional approach to work.
- Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
Previous fleet maintenance experience would be advantageous, particularly for candidates who have worked across a varied commercial vehicle fleet.
Training & DevelopmentTraining will be available in areas including:

- Sweeper training

- IRTEC training
- £48,000 starting salary.
