This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer, ideally with a background working on forklift trucks or similar material handling equipment, to join a growing team.
The role will primarily focus on planned servicing and preventative maintenance, rather than complex breakdown work. You will be responsible for carrying out routine servicing, including oil changes, filter replacements and general maintenance checks, ensuring equipment remains safe, reliable and operational.

Safety inspection – brakes, steering, horn, lights, seat belt, warning devices and emergency systems.
Hydraulics – checking hydraulic oil, hoses, cylinders, leaks and lifting performance.
Mast and forks – inspecting forks for wear/cracks, mast chains, rollers, carriage and lifting mechanism.
Engine/battery – checking engine fluids and filters on diesel/LPG models, or battery condition, charging and connections on electric forklifts.
Tyres/wheels – checking tyre condition, pressure and wheel components.
Lubrication – greasing moving parts and pivot points.
Fluid levels – engine oil, coolant, hydraulic oil, transmission fluid, etc., depending on the forklift.
Adjustments and minor repairs – tightening, replacing worn consumables and correcting faults found during the service.
Service report – recording what was checked, any defects found and work carried out.

Experience you will need:
Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer or Maintenance Engineer
Ideally, experience working with forklift trucks / material handling equipment
Mechanical engineering or maintenance experience
Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload
Full UK driving licence
Good customer service and communication skills
A professional and reliable approach to your work
