Principal Accountant

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT | Greater Boston

$120K–$145K (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

A rapidly growing, private equity‑backed international technology company is looking for a Senior Accountant to join its expanding accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a public accounting foundation who wants to broaden their technical accounting experience within a dynamic, acquisitive organization. The company is committed to internal promotion, providing a defined career path into Accounting Manager for the right candidate.

• Own key aspects of the month‑end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, consolidations, and financial reporting
• Manage accounting for multiple international entities
• Support technical accounting research and complex accounting projects
• Partner with Treasury, HR, and international business teams on cash management, payroll, and compliance
• Assist with audits, statutory reporting, and global accounting operations
• Partner with third‑party service providers to ensure all local reporting requirements are met including, but not limited to, Value‑Added Tax
• Identify and implement process improvements across the accounting function

• 5+ years of accounting experience with a strong public accounting foundation
• CPA highly preferred
• Experience with in software, SaaS, or technology companies is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting, e.g., ASC 606, ASC 842
• Net Suite experience preferred; exposure to Coupa, Concur, Flo Qast, or Salesforce is a plus
• Ability to leverage AI‑enabled tools to enhance productivity and automate financial processes a plus
• Detail‑oriented, collaborative professional with excellent analytical and communication skills
