Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic Insights professional to join our team as a Manager of Consumer Insights. You will play a crucial role in supporting the development and execution of brand strategies to drive business growth.

The Manager of Consumer Insights will join the Welch's Brand & Innovation team on the journey to refresh and revitalize a 150-year old Brand with a strong equity and purpose. In 2023, we launched a new master brand campaign called Let's Fruit Stuff Up, new package design, and built a disruptive innovation funnel. We need your help to take the next step in making Welch's a modern and relevant brand for today's consumer.

Where You'll Work:

This role will be based out of our new headquarters in Waltham, MA where you can immerse yourself in a dynamic workplace where innovation thrives and collaboration is key.

Our company in-office schedule is designed to maximize collaboration & relationship building balanced with flexibility and well-being with 3 days in office and Thursdays/Friday being remote, flex days.

What You'll Do:

* Give input into the consumer learning plan to support the Brand & Innovation team. This entails working very collaboratively to identify key business objectives, design and execute research solutions and socialize results and recommendations across the organization.

* Lead insights projects with key stakeholders and external partners. Ask clarifying questions to ensure project objectives are on-strategy and driving the needs of the overall organization.

* Build relationships with key stakeholders and visibility within the Brand & Innovation team and other key cross-functional partners with a POV on research results and implications.

* Focus will be on innovation and identifying opportunities/threats for our core business across two current categories. Additionally, identify and develop new opportunities with our Transformational Innovation and Licensing teams.

* Work closely with Brand and R&D to identify new product opportunities and validate/recommend optimization for new product prototypes and reformulations.

* Own our suite of primary research platform partners (qualitative and quantitative).  Manage funding, relationships, renewals and termination of current partners and identify new partners where needed.

* Enhance the Consumer Segmentation Playbook by integrating additional data sources and deepening the insights available to the Brand & Innovation team.

* Leverage a custom AI platform to optimize our research library, conduct analyses and identify other opportunities to leverage the tool.

* Modernize and manage the idea and product testing databases by transferring them to Smartsheet (or similar program). Ensure that all historical and new tests are organized, searchable, and regularly updated.

* You will roll up your sleeves to get the job done with speed, accuracy and knowledge of cutting-edge research techniques.

Who You Are:

* Curious and knowledgeable about how consumers make decisions, especially for new products and the impact on the core business.

* Strong research technical skills (i.e., leverage DIY research platforms, screener/survey development, data quality validation, etc.).

* Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate "consumer learning" into actionable recommendations for business growth.

* Strong oral and written communication skills.

* Very organized and able to effectively prioritize and lead projects.

* Problem Solver with analytical capability and creativity.

* Focus on anticipating and overcoming obstacles with the desire to deliver results.

* Sets stretch goals and plans to achieve them.

* Develops meaningful relationships and collaborates across departments.

* Consistently questions the way things have always been done and challenge courageously for improved methodologies.

What You'll Need:

* Bachelor's Degree in related fields such as psychology, marketing, anthropology, statistics and an MBA preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience that proves ability to perform role may be considered.

* 5+ year of related Consumer Insights experience

* Food and Beverage or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience is a plus

* A foundational knowledge of the Consumer Insights industry with what partners have to offer, especially quick-turn solutions

* Ability to synthesize data from different sources such as primary, secondary and syndicated and turn into insights
