Project Architect

Meander Studio is seeking an Architect to join our growing collaborative design practice. We are a mission-driven firm specializing in affordable housing, sustainable design, and inclusive planning processes.

Our work emphasizes thoughtful design, technical excellence, and close collaboration with clients, consultants, and communities. We are looking for a long‑term team member interested in helping shape the future of the firm while contributing to projects that create lasting community impact.

Depending on experience and interests, candidates may be considered for one of two paths:

• Lead projects from planning through construction
• Manage client relationships and consultant coordination
• Support marketing and business development
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to firm leadership

• Develop detailed construction documents
• Coordinate architectural, structural, and MEP systems
• Apply sustainable design and Passive House principles
• Support quality control and technical excellence throughout project delivery

We offer a collaborative, flexible work environment that is currently approximately 80% remote with scheduled time in our Waltham, Massachusetts office.

• Professional degree in Architecture
• Experience in architectural project delivery
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Proficiency with Revit and Microsoft Office
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Interest in sustainable design and community‑focused projects

• Licensed Architect preferred
• Approximately 8–10 years of professional experience
• Experience managing projects, clients, and consultant teams
• Interest in business development and firm leadership

• Approximately 4–6 years of professional experience
• Strong detailing and construction documentation skills
• Knowledge of Passive House principles and MEP coordination
