Job Description Summary

Bentley University is always seeking qualified candidates forfuture openings as Adjunct Lecturers in the History Department. We encourage all qualified applicants to put their applications intothis pool for future consideration. We welcome specialists in avariety of fields, including Contemporary World History, U.S.History, and the history of non-U.S. regions of the world. Please note:
There is no position available at this time, but when aposition becomes available we will actively source candidates fromthis applicant pool.

Minimum Qualifications

A master's degree in History is required. Candidates must alsohave the ability to use or willingness to learn course management and delivery software such as Blackboard and Zoom.

Preferred Qualifications

A Ph.D. in History and experience teaching the subject arehighly desired.

The ability to deliver courses in a variety of formats(including hybrid and online) is desirable, too.

Salary Range:

Compensation for adjunct faculty is governed by the collective bargaining agreement between Bentley University and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 509.

For the 2025–26 academic year, adjunct faculty are compensated at a rate of $7,225.00 per course.

Courses with labs and other four-credit courses shall will be compensated at a higher minimum rate of $9,333.00 per course.
