OverviewThe purpose of this position is to provide instruction to special education students on the autism spectrum in both self‑separate and inclusion settings. The TASC teacher supports the development and implementation of discrete trial programs and behavior plans, and serves as the special education liaison for a group of students in the program.
The TASC program offers services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related diagnoses, using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). A high student‑to‑teacher ratio ensures appropriate academic, behavioral, and social support. Opportunities include both small group and individualized instruction.
Responsibilities Management of the Learning Environment- Utilizes effective and varied instructional techniques and procedures.

Education, Training and Experience- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Licensure from the Massachusetts Department of Education in Severe Disabilities, All Levels.
- Demonstrated subject matter competence, highly qualified, in the area of licensure.
- Currency in the curriculum including knowledge of the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.
- Effective planning and assessment of curriculum and instruction.
