Job Summary
The Department of Modern Languages at Bentley University seeks a Visiting Lecturer in Spanish and French for Spring 2027, with potential renewal. The successful candidate will teach four courses per semester, primarily beginning and intermediate language courses, and participate in service activities related to course coordination or other departmental needs.
Responsibilities- Teach four (4) courses per semester in Spanish and French, including beginning and intermediate levels.
- Provide course coordination or other departmental services as assigned.
- Apply current best practices in second‑language pedagogy, including task‑based activities and support for heritage learners.
- Engage students through the Center for Language and International Collaboration (CLIC) and other program initiatives.
- M.A. or Ph.D. in French or Spanish by the time of appointment.
- At least two years of university‑level teaching experience.
- Native or near‑native proficiency in Spanish, French, and English.
- Demonstrated commitment to innovative language and culture teaching practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑based academic environment.
Visiting Lecturer: $68,036 - $92,049.
