Adjunct Instructor for Composition Seminar
The University Writing Program at Brandeis University invites applications for an adjunct instructor to teach one section of the Composition Seminar (CSEM 1a) in Fall 2026. The Composition Seminar is a one-semester foundational writing course that strengthens students' writing skills and prepares them for the First-Year Seminar and other courses across the Brandeis curriculum. The course meets on Tuesdays and Fridays, from 9:35 to 10:55 AM.
Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to, and excellence in, undergraduate teaching as well as experience teaching first-year writing. Interested individuals should submit a cover letter, CV, a sample writing course syllabus, and names and contact information for two references. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. This appointment is to a position that is in a collective bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local 509.
The compensation for this course is $8764.20.
