Job Title: Principal Transmission Planning Engineer
Location: Waltham, Massachusetts (On-site)

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team and support strategic growth initiatives in transmission planning. Our team plays a pivotal role in driving technical analyses and ensuring the integration of competitive transmission projects across the United States.

• Perform, lead, or facilitate engineering and transmission assessments as part of project teams to generate decision-making information for management.
• Support and advise on production cost modeling, market evaluations, and identification of project opportunities through technical analysis and reporting.
• Oversee consultants, engineers, or other subject matter experts as required to complement business development efforts and participate in external representation when necessary.
• Support or lead activities related to siting, permitting, licensing requirements, and prepare executive summaries or investment committee papers as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field, with a focus on power systems preferred.
• Strong background in transmission system analysis and a demonstrated ability to translate complex model outputs into business insights.
• Broad knowledge of US power industry standards, structures, policies, regulations, and fundamental understanding of electric transmission facilities.
• Proficiency in handling and manipulating large data sets, with excellent communication skills to convey technical findings and recommendations.
