Primary Duties:
The USA-mRNA Process Team Associate (Scientific) supports the Process Development group in Waltham, MA, and reports to the DPGroup Lead. We are seeking an individual with process development and general laboratory skills and experience.

• Support the optimization and scale-up of Bulk Drug Product (BDP) formulation and Final Drug Product (FDP) processes encompassing a wide range of different DS and multi-component LNPs which includes the following:
• Small scale buffer preparation
• Cleaning, setting up, and sanitizing small-scale process equipment such as mixing, TFF, filtration.
• Setting up process equipment in alignment with study goals
• Running process equipment and capturing key process data
• Performing in process drug product characterization
• Coordinating advanced testing with Analytical Sciences department
• Break down and clean-up of working space
• Perform routine and complex analytical methods with minimal supervision
• Document development study set up, results, and conclusions within an electronic lab notebook
• Tabulating and analyzing in process and post process characterization data into PowerPoint presentations
• Presenting study progress, generated data, and analysis to other scientific team members and larger group meetings
• Supporting the growth and expansion goals by setting up and installing new process equipment into new laboratories

• Master's preferred, minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering/science or equivalent experience
• 2-4+ years of professional experience in process development

• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to work and communicate cross-functionally
• General understanding of common LNP formulation, manufacturing, and analytical characterization techniques is desirable, prior experience of LNP manufacturing and running analytical technique is a plus
• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to be flexible and responsive to change, be a results-driven problem solver

Work is performed in an office and laboratory environment with routine lab physical demands and normal exposure to everyday risks and discomfort requiring common safety precautions.

Estimated Min Rate: $26.60

Estimated Max Rate: $38.00
