OverviewThis role will perform product testing for our microwave susceptor product, and will require the ability to work with our engineering team to design a reliable microwave test system. The core of this role involves the ability to develop reliable data‑gathering methods.
Key Responsibilities- Detailed Implementation: Execute lab‑scale tests with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all variables are accounted for and documented.
- Method Development: Support the creation of robust data sampling methods that provide actionable insights.
- System Refinement: Assist in the transition from manual testing to more sophisticated, automated systems to increase data reproducibility.
- Collaborative Validation: Work under the guidance of senior engineers towards long‑term technical goals.
- A student in Physics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering with a strong foundation in experimental measurements.
- Naturally detail-oriented with an uncompromising commitment to data accuracy and reproducibility.
- Adaptable and capable of maintaining high technical standards while developing interim test setups.
- A clear communicator who values oversight as a tool for professional growth and technical excellence.
- Self‑driven with the ability to coordinate and manage projects with minimal supervision
- Ability to learn and understand new electronics and electrical systems
- Outstanding troubleshooting skills on electrical and physical systems
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Experience with soldering
- Proficient with Google Drive or MS Office
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with others
- Strong time management skills
- Previous experience working in a machine shop or lab environment
The candidate will have a chance to apply strong project management and organizing experience, and to gain a deeper understanding of how testing decisions are impacted by cost, consumer, and environment.
