As a skilled technician, it contributes to the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment. Responsible for supporting and assisting with electrical engineering activities. Often involves specialized equipment in a laboratory or bench environment.
This role follows an onsite work model, requiring employees to be in our local office five days per week.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assists engineers in the construction of prototype products and test fixtures from concepts.
- PCA and cable building
- Works from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions
- Troubleshoots and reworks existing electronic equipment, prototypes, and systems.
- Capable to adhere to J-STD-001 for soldering and inspection for electrical re-work
- Soldering certification to IPC 610 or willing to complete certifications
- Schedule, organize and document equipment calibration in electronic database (BMRAM)
- Organizes, coordinates, and executes testing of prototypes with engineering guidance, developing or revising test methods as required.
- Prepares reports/documentation to communicate results and recommendations.
- Coordinates procuring and qualification of new or modified test and process equipment.
- Assists project teams in obtaining necessary materials, services, and test data, with internal or external resources.
- Trains on the technical aspects of their job include interpreting and rationalizing results (i.e. statistics, DOE).
- Supports engineering with the evaluation of new technologies within functional areas.
Required qualifications:
2-4 Years with High School Diploma and/or Equivalent experience, training, or apprenticeships
