As a Mechanical Engineer III, you'll take hands‑on ownership of components and subassemblies throughout the product lifecycle—from early concepts and rapid prototypes through design validation, production tooling, release, and continuous improvement. Using Solid Works and Arena PDM, you'll create reliable, manufacturable designs with a strong focus on plastic injection molding and integrated electromechanical systems.

You'll work closely with electrical engineering, firmware, industrial design, supply chain, quality, and manufacturing to solve complex design challenges and turn ideas into products that perform reliably in demanding, real‑world environments. • Build strong partnerships across mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, firmware, industrial design, supply chain, quality, and manufacturing while developing a solid understanding of Evolv's products and development priorities.

• Become proficient in Evolv's Solid Works and Arena PDM workflows and contribute effectively to design reviews, documentation, and engineering‐change processes.

• Take ownership of defined components, subassemblies, or sustaining‑engineering assignments and deliver high‑quality designs, prototypes, drawings, or analyses with support from the broader team.

• Independently own mechanical design work for assigned product features, components, or sustaining initiatives from concept through validation and release.

• Deliver reliable, manufacturable, and serviceable designs that appropriately balance performance, cost, quality, and schedule.

• Drive product improvements by identifying root causes and partnering across manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to implement well‑documented design solutions.

• Execute mechanical design and development for new and existing products, with an emphasis on injection‑molded plastic components

• Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and production‑ready drawings in Solid Works or an equivalent CAD system

• Translate product requirements into mechanical design specifications and contribute to design reviews and technical decisions
