Position: Consumer Dispute Specialist I

Join our team as a Consumer Dispute Specialist I, where accuracy, clarity, and curiosity come together to support consumers and strengthen our Resident Screening process. In this role, you’ll investigate disputes from start to finish—reviewing reports, gathering documentation, and communicating results with confidence and care. You’ll work across multiple systems, reference credit data and public records, and ensure every step aligns with FCRA guidelines.

What You'll Do:
  • Receive, review, and resolve consumer disputes related to tenant screening application results with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Process all dispute activities in compliance with FCRA regulations, Yardi Resident Screening guidelines, and required time frames.
  • Communicate clearly with consumers to gather details, provide updates, and deliver investigation results.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all steps taken throughout the dispute resolution process.
Who You Are:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • One to two (1-2) years of experience in a legal or regulatory compliance position
  • Knowledge of the Fair Credit Reporting Act or other consumer rights processes
  • Knowledge of credit reports and civil and criminal record terminology
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Accountability and follow-through skills
  • Ability to adjust to new processes and procedures
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Ideal to Have:
  • Experience working as a paralegal
