Responsibilities
Kforce has a client that seeks to hire a Tax Supervisor just outside of Boston, Massachusetts. This hybrid role is with a top local accounting firm serving high-end clients, principally business owners, their families, and related business and charitable entities. The firm emphasizes technological tools, a solid work/life balance, and flexible schedules.
- Support engagement planning, scheduling, and delivery
- Review tax returns and supervise staff work
- Coach, train, and mentor tax staff
- Perform tax research and analysis, monitor regulatory changes and communicate impacts
- Provide tax planning and advisory support
- Advise on tax implications related to transactions, investments, and business decisions
- Assist with tax audits, provisions, and related documentation
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, addressing inquiries and delivering high‑quality service
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation that we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role. Employee pay is based on factors such as education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance; HSA and FSA; a 401(k) with company match; and life, disability, and ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 4+ years of current or recent CPA firm tax experience
- Supervisory or review experience of staff work
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and relationship‑building skills
- CPA, MST, or EA is strongly preferred
