POSITION:
Residential Post Closing Specialist

Responsible for reviewing, tracking, and following up on missing or incorrect loan documentation for Mortgages and Home Equity Loans in accordance with bank objectives and policies as well as Federal and State Laws.
KeyResult Areas:
- Review closed mortgage and equity documents for accuracy in accordance with Federal, State, Bank Compliance and Investor standards. Partner with closing attorneys, retail staff, and Loan Operations and Secondary Market teams, and Loan Servicing to ensure all completed documents are received and that any document errors are resolved.
- Review the Closing Disclosures using TRID and bank guidelines and resolve monetary and clerical errors in a timely fashion. Obtain and upload copies of recorded documents to Encompass and ensure recording fees charged on the Closing Disclosure are accurate.
- Review the post-closing pipelines in Encompass to resolve missing or incorrect information and clearing exceptions for mortgages and HELOCs.
- Ensure complete closing documents are received in nCino and Encompass for funding and booking, and that documents required for secondary market investors are received within the applicable loan sale deadlines.
- Review monthly trailing document reports from investors and submit requested documents. Partner with the Secondary Market Manager to obtain missing or corrected documentation from the attorneys for loans that have been sold “Servicing Released”, so that the file can be packaged and shipped to the Investor.
- Scan closing documentation and trailing documents into Encompass and verify that documents are in the correct loan file in accordance with bank Policy. Log and file Promissory Notes into appropriate file cabinets.
- Assist in annual audits for original Notes recordkeeping. Archive and shred paper files upon receipt of complete digital file.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business management preferred
- Two to four years of banking or paralegal experience preferred
- Strong organizational and computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to meet critical deadlines with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, utilized to strengthen customer and business partner relationships
- Able to review a high volume of loan documents with accuracy and attention to detail
- Adhere to SLAs for initial file review and follow up on document exceptions
- Experience with Encompass and nCino is preferred

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Cambridge Savings Bank ranges from $25 - $33.27/hr .
