Position Summary
The Associate Director, Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs), Neurology is a field-based extension of the Medical Affairs department.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, establish, and maintain professional relationships and dialogue with KOLs and allied healthcare professionals.
- Educate healthcare professionals on the company's product portfolio.
- Serve as a regional medical/scientific resource; match stakeholder needs with available resources.
- Deliver educational resources and clinical information in response to established needs/requests.
- Liaise with investigators to support investigator-initiated and company-sponsored research.
- Facilitate speaker development and training.
- Conduct timely, fair-balanced scientific exchanges with HCPs in a compliant, ethical manner for unsolicited information requests.
- Lead, contribute to, attend, and provide scientific support at international, national, regional, and local medical conferences.
- Liaise with Clinical Operations to support company-sponsored studies.
- Participate in advisory boards and clinical investigator meetings.
- Gather field data for insights and competitive intelligence; provide feedback to headquarters.
- Deliver internal educational training for stakeholders (disease state, therapeutic landscape, product info).
- Build cross-functional relationships aligned with compliance guidelines.
- Engage in continued independent learning in the therapeutic area.
- Coordinate scientific communication opportunities at national and local congresses.
- Work with the team to identify opportunities to generate/present meaningful data.
- Provide scientific session/poster/symposium coverage when requested.
- Attend face-to-face meetings to gather expert feedback.
- Advanced clinical/science degree or healthcare credentials required (MD, PhD, RPh, PharmD, NP, PA, MS or equivalent).
- Minimum 3+ years MSL, field-based, or clinical position preferred.
- Therapeutic area experience preferred.
- Knowledge of treatment guidelines, clinical research processes, FDA regulations, and OIG guidelines preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; results- and team-oriented; proven track record.
- Full understanding of relevant industry, legal, and regulatory compliance; commitment to ethical/scientific standards.
- Ideal candidate will live in TX, CA, or AZ.
Base salary range: $181,600 to $227,000; total rewards may include annual performance bonus, equity, and full range of benefits.
