Position SummaryWe’re looking for a high‑impact Strategic Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our People & Culture team. This role is ideal for an agile HR professional who thrives in a fast‑paced organization, enjoys variety, and is energized by building while doing. You’ll act as a trusted thought partner to leaders, a go‑to resource for employees, and a hands‑on partner helping us build a strong, high‑performance culture.
This role is positioned at the Manager level, with opportunity for expanded scope over time based on experience and performance.
This role will be based out of our Waltham, MA headquarters. Immerse yourself in a dynamic workplace where innovation thrives and collaboration is key. Our company in‑office schedule is designed to maximize collaboration & relationship building balanced with flexibility and well‑being with 3 days in office and Thursdays/Friday being remote, flex days.
What You’ll Do- Serve as the first point of contact for employees and people managers, providing guidance on policies, procedures, employee relations, and day‑to‑day people matters.
- Partner closely with leaders in the organization to drive performance, offering practical coaching and sound judgment on performance management, feedback, and PIP processes.
- Leverage people data and insights to inform recommendations, identify trends, and support sound decision‑making across the business.
- Act as a People & Culture lead for the business in the adoption of our new HCM, helping translate system capabilities into practical tools that improve manager and employee experiences.
- Partner with hiring managers to lead and support recruitment efforts, ensuring we attract and select high‑quality talent.
- Collaborate with People & Culture Centers of Excellence (COEs) to execute HR initiatives and programs across the organization.
- Coach and enable managers through People & Culture initiatives, annual processes, and organizational changes, acting as a change agent when we need to pivot quickly.
- Actively support employee engagement efforts at the business‑unit level and consult on strategies to improve engagement and retention.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, applying best practices to minimize risk and support sound decision‑making.
- A passionate HR professional with experience across employee relations, talent acquisition, training and development, performance management, and employment law.
- Works urgently with exceptional project and time management skills; a proven record of effectively prioritizing and executing work responsibilities.
- Makes recommendations and decisions while considering short and long‑term implications across the total enterprise.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and moving quickly without losing judgment or credibility.
- A strong listener and relationship builder who models transparency, accountability, and trust.
- Clear, direct, and effective in communication with the ability to adjust style for employees, managers, and senior leaders.
- Continuously questions the status quo and seeks ways to improve and develop.
- Willing to respectfully challenge perspectives and engage in candid, constructive dialogue.
- Motivated by impact and growth and interested in taking on broader scope over time.
- BA/BS degree required.
- 7+ years of HR Business Partner experience, with a strong focus on employee relations, performance management, policy governance, and manager coaching through change.
- Solid working knowledge of federal and state labor and employment laws.
