Purpose
We are seeking a Head of HR - R&D and Finance to serve as the strategic HR partner to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and their leadership teams. As a member of the HR Leadership Team, this role drives talent strategies that support business objectives, provides trusted business partnership, and helps embed BVI's people strategy across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted HR advisor to the CTO, CFO, and their leadership teams, providing strategic business partnership and guidance.
- Lead talent initiatives across R&D and Finance, including workforce planning, senior-level hiring, succession planning, promotion reviews, and organizational design.
- Own the end-to-end talent strategy for the R&D and Finance functions.
- Lead annual performance management and talent review processes for assigned client groups.
- Partner with the Total Rewards team on compensation decisions and performance-related initiatives.
- Coach leaders through complex people matters and manage senior-level employee relations issues with sound judgment and discretion.
- Contribute as an active member of the HR Leadership Team, helping shape enterprise-wide people initiatives and the overall HR strategy across BVI.
- Drive continuous improvement in how HR partners with the business to deliver value and support organizational success.
- Progressive HR career with prior experience in a senior HR Business Partner role supporting executive leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively at the leadership level while remaining hands-on in execution.
- Strong expertise across talent management, performance management, compensation partnership, and employee relations.
- Strong business acumen, sound judgment, and a strategic mindset.
- Results-oriented with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, make decisions, and drive outcomes.
- Experience with in the medical device industry is preferred.
