HR Generalist / Talent Management, HR Manager
Manning Personnel Group is partnering with a Boston-based clinical-stage, biotechnology company developing next generation oncology therapies. This firm, which is committed to creating novel, patient-directed therapies, is poised for significant growth the next 18-24 months. The firm has raised capital from both joint ventures with international pharmaceutical firms to investment from top tier Venture Capital firms. Reporting to the CPO, the Director of Human Resources partners with managers and leaders to identify, develop and execute talent strategies including, but not limited to, employee relations, talent assessment & development, performance management, change management, culture, engagement and retention.
Job Description KeyDuties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the trusted advisor and coach in areas of culture, talent management, rewards and change management. Utilize consulting skills to influence, coach and provide feedback to employees at all levels.
- Develop and implement innovative approaches to build engagement and a strong culture.
- Partner with insurance brokers in the administration of benefits, including coordination of annual open enrollment, changes in coverage and issue resolution with benefit providers.
- Manage the full lifecycle recruiting process, including sourcing, candidate communications, initial screening and closing candidates at the offer stage.
- Establish and reinforce best practices in recruiting and talent acquisition activities. Partner with external agencies to fill open positions and recommend alternative sourcing methods for hard to fill roles.
- Lead and coordinate the orientation and onboarding process of newly hired talent.
- Facilitate and administer the ongoing performance development process including company communications, manager coaching, performance calibration, promotion process and criteria and compensation planning.
- Identify organization skills and knowledge gaps and construct learning initiatives (e.g. workshops, peer and/or executive coaching/mentorship).
- Provide compensation guidance including job matching & benchmarking, job scoping and job descriptions.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends and recommend changes or enhancements to total rewards programs.
- Lead the development, implementation and administration of human resources policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of ten years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical organization
- Demonstrated ability to function as a business partner to both management and executive teams
- Ability to work individually, as well as with external partners and vendors in the delivery of HR services
- Self-starter with demonstrated success introducing and rolling out new HR programs, policies and practices
- Consultative, influential, systems thinker
- Executive coaching experience a plus
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM certification highly desirable
