As an IT Technical Program Manager (TPM), will provide leadership for project teams to launch and to continue support of Information Technology solutions that span hardware, software and services, in a continuous effort to provide world-class customer, partner and employee experiences. You’ll have high standards for yourself and everyone you work with, in a dynamic, challenging, and fast-changing organization. Using data and key metrics, you will also drive and measure process improvements that enhance our operational effectiveness.
As the TPM you will experience business analysis, project management, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills each day. The TPM will drive continuous process improvement, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering, operations and IT teams to solve critical business problems and implement new solutions.
**** Day to day activities
***** Understand how Boston Dynamics operates and use this knowledge to provide a company-wide viewpoint for IT solutions.
* Manage multiple competing cross-functional IT projects/programs simultaneously.
* Take ownership of the overall IT program planning process, program schedule, and initiate process improvements when identified.
* Know the difference and when to apply plan-driven vs agile project management approaches.
* Develop and manage detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, budgets, resource plans, risk identification and mitigation plans as well as monthly reports and overall KPIs for Technical Programs.
* Gather and analyze requirements, set priorities, define project schedules, manage project resources (both internal and external) and facilitate sprint planning.
* Interact with electrical, mechanical and software engineers, line of business leaders and IT stakeholders on a daily basis.
* Run meetings, create and maintain timelines, and keep large, diverse groups informed of progress and impediments.
* Work with engineers and business stakeholders across the organization to develop detailed and creative solutions to complex problems, while keeping a watchful eye on timelines, risks and costs.
* Ensure consistency and adherence to quality standards in deployed solutions and track exceptions for follow up.
* Clarify and drive project commitments as well as establish and maintain clear chains of accountability, both inside and outside of the IT department.
* Serve as coach and facilitator for IT teams practicing Agile frameworks (Scrum, Scrumban etc).
**** Desired skills
***** Minimum 8 years of IT experience, with a focus on Business Process Management and Project/Program Management in a corporate IT environment.
* Has successfully led the delivery of multiple complex IT solutions into production
* Experience with the development of operational metrics
* Experience with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban. Six Sigma or PMI/PMP Certification is a plus.
* Experience with project management productivity software such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, and Lucid.
* Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; a sense of humor is a must!
* Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field, or equivalent practical experience.

The base pay range for this position is between $ to $ annually. Base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This range represents a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Boston Dynamics offers a generous Benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and an annual bonus structure.
