We are seeking an experienced senior network engineer to modernize and enhance the US network infrastructure, improving reliability, security, and user experience. Key initiatives include replacing end‑of‑life LAN hardware and provisioning high‑speed internet connectivity powered by new CISCO SDWAN technology.
Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain WAN, LAN, and SDWAN infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability.
- Provide technical expertise and strategic guidance on network architecture, upgrades, and emerging technologies to meet evolving business needs.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions, producing low‑level designs and overseeing solution implementation.
- Lead network projects, acting as both team leader and individual contributor to deliver on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and managed service providers to ensure requirements are understood and met effectively.
- Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including configurations, designs, standards, and operational processes.
- Assist with incidents and escalations related to networking services or performance, troubleshooting to resolution as needed.
- Ensure compliance with security and reliability standards, implementing best practices for network resilience and risk mitigation.
- Produce and obtain peer‑review approvals of Record of Change (RoC) documents for network changes.
- Gain change‑management approvals for network changes by submitting well‑formed Service Now change requests with all required details.
- Stay current with industry trends and technologies, recommending improvements and innovations to enhance network capabilities.
- Prepare operational readiness: create/maintain configuration standards, as‑built documentation, and support runbooks; store artifacts in SharePoint and hand off for UTOC management.
- Minimum Cisco CCNP certification level required
- CCIE certification is desirable
- In‑depth knowledge of Wireless LAN and NAC solutions (Cisco WLAN, Cisco ISE, Aruba WLAN, Aruba Clear Pass)
- In depth knowledge of SD‑WAN solutions (CISCO Viptela)
- In depth knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), carrier WAN and Internet services
- In‑depth knowledge of Cisco LAN switching technologies including STP, RSTP, MSTP, VLANs, Ether Channel and switch stacking
- Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches, implementing QoS, and managing network segmentation and redundancy
- Ability to produce detailed designs, implementation plans, and operational support documents
- Strong stakeholder engagement and coordination across multiple environments
- Experience:
8–10 years as a CISCO Wireless Administrator - Compensation: $80,000 – $158,000 annually (depending on location, qualifications, and experience)
