PositionSummary
We are seeking an experienced and driven IT Business Partner to represent our Commercial organization. As a Director of IT, you will play a key role in aligning technology initiatives with business priorities, driving operational excellence, and enabling innovation across our commercial, customer engagement, and go‑to‑market capabilities.
This is an exciting Hybrid opportunity for a strategic yet hands‑on IT leader who enjoys partnering closely with the business and contributing to a fast‑growing organization’s digital transformation. Ability to work Hybrid (minimum 2 days per week) at our Waltham, MA location.
Responsibilities- Serve as the primary IT liaison for the Commercial organization.
- Partner with business and IT leadership to define and execute IT strategies that support operational and innovation goals.
- Act as a trusted business advisor, ensuring technology initiatives align with business priorities and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Collaborate with business leaders to identify and prioritize high‑impact opportunities in AI, automation, and analytics to improve quality, efficiency, and innovation.
- Support system strategy and governance for critical business systems (SAP, Salesforce, PIM, company website, etc.).
- Ensure technology solutions comply with GMP and other regulatory requirements.
- Partner with process owners to optimize SAP and other enterprise applications for commercial teams.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external technology partners to support scalable and integrated solutions.
- Develop business cases and value propositions for technology investments.
- Lead IT projects and ensure delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
- Partner with executives and business unit leads to capture VOC (voice of the customer) and translate that feedback into evaluable, actionable tasks.
- 10–12 years of experience in IT roles supporting Commercial organizations in bioprocessing, biotech, or life sciences.
- Proven experience partnering with business leaders to define and deliver technology strategies.
- Hands‑on experience implementing or managing SAP, CRM, CPQ, PIM, PXM, DAM or similar systems.
- Expertise in GMP and regulatory requirements in bioprocessing.
- Experience leading or supporting AI, automation, or data analytics initiatives in commercial environments.
- Demonstrated ability to build business cases and lead process improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and business audiences.
- Strong business acumen and ability to translate business needs into IT solutions.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Analytical and problem‑solving mindset.
- Hands‑on technical orientation with the ability to guide and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience with enterprise systems integration and digital transformation initiatives.
- Comfortable working in a Hybrid, fast‑paced, global, matrixed environment.
- Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
The estimated base salary range for this role, based in the United States of America, is $156,074–$239,313. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to an individual’s qualifications, location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Employees are eligible to participate in variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
