Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and eliminate technology friction across the enterprise before employees have to ask
- Design and implement workflow automations that transform how departments operate, from Finance to HR to Research
- Assist in building and maintaining a world‑class IT training academy that uses creative, innovative approaches to genuinely change how people use technology
- Partner with department leads to understand their processes, challenge their assumptions, and co‑create better ways of working
- Manage and optimize our SaaS platform ecosystem, ensuring everything that should talk to everything actually does
- Develop repeatable automation models that can be applied across functions, creating enterprise‑wide process parity
- Manage endpoints and ensure employees and their data are always safe, optimized, and performing at their best
- Handle your share of the essential tactical work that comes with being part of a small, fast‑moving IT team in a growing Life Sciences company, and do it with the same energy and excellence you bring to everything else
- An almost irrational love of solving the underlying problems that make employee experiences poor, especially the ones nobody has named yet
- The ability to context‑switch fluidly between enterprise vision and individual employee need without losing altitude on either
- Demonstrated experience with SaaS platforms, APIs, and automation tools – you don't just know they exist, you've made them do things people thought weren't possible
- A track record of transforming broken workflows and not just fixing them but reimagining them from the ground up
- The emotional intelligence to bring people along on a change journey rather than dragging them
- An extraordinary customer orientation in which you remember names, you follow up without being asked, and you never let someone feel like their problem isn't important
- 5+ years of experience in a customer‑facing IT role where you wore many hats and thrived because of it, not despite it
- Proven ability to prioritise ruthlessly across competing demands without dropping balls or deprioritising people
- You've built automations that made someone say "how did we ever live without this"
- You've created training programmes people actually wanted to attend
- You understand that Airtable, Zapier, and similar tools are not just nice‑to‑haves but genuinely transformative weapons in the right hands
- You've worked in a fast‑moving, resource‑constrained environment and you secretly loved the creative problem‑solving it demanded
- You are proficient with and an evangelist of powerful SaaS platforms including Google Suite, Slack, Lucidchart, Smartsheet, Airtable, Office
365, and similar - You have an intuitive understanding of how unstructured data should be managed, moved, and made useful
- You've thought about AI not as a buzzword but as a practical tool for making workflows smarter
Contract position based out of Waltham, MA
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00‑$45.00/hr.
