Overview
Join Global Partners LP as our Business Intelligence (BI) Manager for the Terminals business unit. Collaborating closely with leadership, terminal operations, and divisional teams, you will champion data-driven decision-making across the organization by designing and deploying timely analytics, defining key performance indicators, and implementing robust business intelligence solutions. Through your expertise in tools like SQL, Tableau, and modern data platforms—including Snowflake, dbt, and Fivetran—you will help ensure that terminal operations are optimized for profitability, efficiency, and growth.
The BI Manager, Terminals at Global Partners is responsible for driving operational insights, improving profitability, and empowering terminal teams with actionable intelligence. You’ll develop dashboards, optimize processes, and provide recommendations on terminal capacity, pricing strategies, scheduling, and asset utilization. Your analysis will directly support decisions related to terminal operations, acquisition strategies, and long-term planning, enabling us to maximize value and operational performance.

- Lead and mentor a team of BI analysts, fostering analytical rigor, technical skill development, with a culture of curiosity and data‑driven insights.
- Partner with Terminal leadership to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop robust analytical frameworks to measure business performance, identify trends, and track progress against strategic goals.
- Translate ambiguous business questions into specific, testable hypotheses and analytical plans; proactively identify areas where data analysis can deliver significant value.
- Lead the end‑to‑end development, delivery, and optimization of BI solutions, including dashboards and reports, utilizing SQL and BI platforms (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
- Communicate complex analytical findings and strategic recommendations clearly and concisely to diverse audiences, including senior leadership, through compelling data storytelling and visualizations.
- Conduct deep‑dig analysis using SQL, BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.), and Python/R to uncover root causes, identify actionable opportunities for growth or optimization, and quantify business impact.
- Own the design, development, and continuous improvement of core Terminal dashboards and reporting suites, ensuring data accuracy, clarity, and relevance for various Retail business verticals.
- Champion data literacy, drive adoption of self‑service BI tools, and promote best practices in data governance within the Terminal unit.
- Collaborate with central data teams to influence the design and evolution of data models and infrastructure needed to support robust Terminal analytics and data capabilities.
- Explore and apply appropriate statistical techniques or basic forecasting models to address specific Terminal challenges, such as customer behavior analysis or demand planning (nice‑to‑have).
