Overview

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management of Electric Utility Network Operations applications supporting Transmission and Distribution (T&D) operations. The ideal candidate will combine deep utility domain expertise with strong product management skills to drive the development and enhancement of mission-critical applications such as SCADA, DMS, OMS, ADMS, DERMS, Outage Management, Network Analytics, and Grid Operations platforms.

The Product Manager will collaborate closely with utility business stakeholders, engineering teams, operations personnel, customers, and technology partners to deliver innovative solutions that improve grid reliability, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Functional Skills
  • Define and execute product vision, strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management for Electric Utility Network Operations applications.
  • Gather, analyze, and prioritize business requirements; translate utility operational needs into product features, epics, and user stories.
  • Strong understanding of Electric Utility Transmission & Distribution operations, including SCADA, DMS, OMS, ADMS, DERMS, and related business processes.
  • Act as Product Owner/Product Manager for Agile teams, managing and prioritizing the product backlog to maximize business value.
  • Lead Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and release planning.
  • Define acceptance criteria, validate delivered functionality, and ensure alignment with business and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, architecture, operations, QA, UX, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality products.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement with utility customers, control center operators, field operations, IT teams, and executive leadership.
  • Monitor product performance through KPIs, customer feedback, operational metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support grid modernization, digital transformation, and innovation initiatives leveraging cloud, analytics, AI/ML, and smart grid technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with utility industry standards, cybersecurity requirements, and regulatory obligations.
  • Facilitate change management, product adoption, user training, and business readiness activities.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, presentation, and stakeholder influence skills.
  • Foster Agile and Scrum best practices, continuous delivery, incremental value realization, and collaboration across distributed teams.
Technical Skills
  • Utility Network Operations Systems: SCADA, DMS, OMS, ADMS, EMS, DERMS
  • Electric Utility Domain Expertise:
    Transmission & Distribution (T&D) operations, control center operations, outage management, grid reliability, load management, and DER integration
  • Network Modeling & GIS:
    Utility network models, GIS integration, topology management, connectivity analysis
  • Data & Analytics:
    Operational analytics, reporting, dashboards, KPI monitoring, AI/ML-driven insights
  • Smart Grid Technologies:
    Grid modernization, distributed energy resources, renewable integration, demand response, digital twins
  • Cybersecurity & Compliance: NERC CIP, NERC Reliability Standards, IEC, IEEE standards, utility cybersecurity practices
  • Software Delivery:
    Agile/Scrum, Dev Ops concepts, product lifecycle management, release management
  • Emerging Technologies:
    IoT, AI/ML, predictive analytics, advanced visualization, decision-support systems
Qualifications
  • BACHELOR OF COMPUTER SCIENCE
Salary Range

$130,000- $150,000 a year
