The IT Client Services team at Pega is made up of desktop engineers and user support technicians dedicated to providing superior end user environments and experiences to over 6000 Pega users across the globe.
Picture Yourself at Pega:As a member of the Desktop Engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in creating the top end user and client computing experience for Pega employees / contractors. As a Desktop Engineer, you will be expected to contribute to the strategy and direction in the design and security of the endpoint environment. You will manage projects of small to medium size and participate in large corporate projects.
Desktop engineers lead and participate in efforts to analyze and resolve complex problems, maintain current security standards, and identify areas for continuous improvement while providing support of core endpoint infrastructure.
- Manage small level projects when assigned
- Develop project timelines, identify milestones, communicate and present progress
- Contribute as subject matter expert for projects led by internal Desktop Engineering and other functional areas within IT infrastructure
- Administrate endpoint environments utilizing Ivanti, Intune, and Jamf
- Deploy software, patches, and updates as required
- Create and maintain image builds for Windows and/or Mac devices
- Establish procedures for user support, compliance, and environment configurations
- Maintain application environments for Desktop Engineering owned applications, in areas such as elevated privilege management, anti-virus, group policy, device health and monitoring, and more
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Manage vendor relationships and delivery of services and resolutions
- Meet security compliance regulations and manage licensing§
- Troubleshooting of highly complex issues
- Act as a point of technical escalation and technical mentor to other members of IT Client Services teams such as helpdesk and user support.
- Work with other functional areas within and outside of IT
- Contribute to the strategy and direction in the design and security of the endpoint environment
- Remain aligned with industry best practices, and new technology releases
- You are a third-level engineer/administrator who is always looking for improvements and enjoys contributing ideas, methodology, and perspectives to projects and decisions.

- You have led small sized projects successfully
- You have participated in the deployment new tools or configuration a new environment
- You are comfortable working with end-users, peers, and vendors alike in high-pressure situations, committed to meeting urgent but attainable deadlines, and demonstrate the desire for continuous learning and development.
- 4+ years experience in a technical related field
- At least 1+ Years’ experience in desktop engineering with demonstrated ability to learn new technologies
- Hands on experience in image creation process Windows 10 and/or macOS X
- Knowledge of Microsoft patching processes for Office 365 and Windows 10
- Experience with Microsoft Intune for Windows software management
- Knowledge of either the Windows or Apple Macintosh Operating Systems
- Experience with endpoint administration tools such as Ivanti, SCCM, Manage Engine or Jamf
