Job Overview

Pharmaron is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to support our global sales operations and international logistics activities. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth coordination of biological shipments, maintaining trade compliance, supporting Business Development initiatives, and serving as a key point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders across multiple regions. Due to the global nature of the business and the need to support operations in China, the candidate must be comfortable working flexible hours, including occasional evening meetings and communications outside of standard U.S. business hours.

This position requires a strong understanding of international shipping regulations, customs clearance processes, and temperature‑controlled biological shipments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide trade compliance support and guidance to clients, including real‑time assistance with export documentation, shipment labeling, customs requirements, and permit applications.
  • Manage temperature‑controlled shipments utilizing dry ice and other specialized packaging methods, ensuring compliance with applicable domestic and international regulations.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of regulations governing the shipment of biological materials, dangerous goods, and dry ice shipments.
  • Organize, maintain, and audit customs and shipping documentation to ensure compliance with international trade regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with China‑based import teams, customs brokers, and freight forwarders to secure permits and facilitate efficient customs clearance.
  • Monitor and track inbound and outbound shipments daily, proactively addressing delays, customs holds, or documentation issues.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly Excel reports for outbound shipments to China, organized by country of export.
  • Compile, review, and distribute monthly logistics reimbursement reports.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients, Business Development teams, logistics providers, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders to resolve shipping and compliance‑related issues.
  • Coordinate international export operations, including biological shipments to China and other global destinations.
  • Support Business Development teams with logistics‑related information and shipment coordination.
  • Manage and maintain sales opportunities, shipment records, and reporting within Salesforce.
  • Generate reports and provide operational updates to support business objectives and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in international logistics, export operations, trade compliance, or supply chain coordination.
  • Experience coordinating international shipments and managing customs clearance processes.
  • Knowledge of import/export regulations, shipping documentation, and international trade compliance requirements.
  • Experience handling temperature‑controlled shipments, including dry ice shipments and related regulatory requirements.
  • Strong understanding of customs procedures and the ability to work effectively with customs brokers and international partners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, client‑facing approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Hands‑on experience with Salesforce, including opportunity management, data maintenance, and reporting.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced, global environment.
Benefits
  • Insurance including Medical, Dental & Vision with significant employer contributions
  • Employer‑funded Health Reimbursement Account
  • Healthcare & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts
  • 100% Employer‑paid Employee Life and AD&D Insurance, Short‑ and Long‑Term Disability Insurance
  • 401(k) plan with generous employer match
  • Access to an Employee Assistance Program
