The Senior Manager plays a critical role in managing end-to-end logistics operations for both clinical and commercial supply. The role will coordinate and oversee cold chain material movements between Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs), warehouses, and distribution partners. The Senior Manager partners closely with Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, Commercial, and external partners and stakeholders to ensure seamless logistics operations, supply continuity, compliant flow of materials, and readiness for product commercialization.
This is a hands‑on operational role with strategic elements focusing on day‑to‑day warehouse and courier management, process improvements, the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and readiness for product commercialization.
- Coordinate and oversee domestic and international cold chain shipments between CMOs, warehouses, third‑party logistics providers (3PL), and other supply chain nodes.
- Serve as the logistics lead for network re‑supplies, working closely with internal stakeholders (Supply Planning, Quality, Manufacturing) and external partners (couriers, CMOs, customs brokers, warehouses, 3PLs).
- Ensure timely and compliant execution of shipments, including documentation preparation and review, courier booking, shipment tracking, import/export activities, post‑shipment follow‑up and closure.
- Troubleshoot logistics issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure all logistics activities are conducted in compliance with GMP, GDP, and international trade regulations and maintain accurate shipment documentation.
- Support the set up of the 3PL for commercial launches.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to establish processes and capabilities to support ongoing and future commercial operations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain necessary SOPs and work instructions.
- Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders and partners.
- Monitor courier, warehouse, and 3PL performance and drive improvements.
- Act as logistics liaison in cross‑functional and partner meetings to ensure alignment and proactive communication.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Life Sciences, or a related field. Advanced degree or certification (e.g., APICS, IATA, SCPro) is a plus.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or trade compliance within biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or another regulated industry.
- Strong operational experience managing material movements across CMOs, 3PLs, and warehouses within a global network.
- Experience supporting clinical and/or commercial supply chains, including launch activities and building distribution infrastructure.
- Working knowledge of GMP/GDP standards, cold chain logistics, and international shipping regulations.
- Solid knowledge of customs clearance processes and import/export regulations.
- Experience with logistics systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP) preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly collaborative and proactive problem solver with the ability to operate independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.

Pay Range: $140,000 - $170,000 USD
