Operational Procurement Manager – Waltham, USA

Responsible for managing operational purchase ordering procurement needs using Oracle for our UK & USA sites, supporting two procurement coordinators. Reports to the Senior Global Procurement Director and is part of the global procurement team.

• Own procurement execution within Oracle: requisition flow, PO management, supplier master data, catalogs, and procurement reporting. Actively improve data quality, cycle times, and automation, and serve as escalation point for system or user issues.
• Lead the deployment and design of ERP enhancements and resolve ERP procurement incidents.
• Control and improve day‑to‑day cost performance, focusing on high‑usage and high‑value materials; identify cost pressures, negotiate within delegated authority, and deliver savings through operational levers.
• Ensure all procurement activity complies with quality policies, SOPs, approval thresholds, and audit requirements; act as first‑line control owner.
• Coach, prioritize, and manage work for Operational Procurement Coordinators to achieve consistent execution.
• Execute the Supplier Risk & Sustainability process at the site level—monitor suppliers, log sustainability risks, report through scorecards or reviews, and handle escalations via defined governance routes.
• Provide timely reporting of global procurement KPIs and other business metrics.

• Bachelor’s degree in business‑related disciplines such as Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Procurement.
• Minimum five years of procurement experience, including supplier management, contract negotiation, and cost analysis.
• At least three years in a leadership or people‑management role (coaching, prioritization, performance management).
• Three or more years of hands‑on procurement experience with Oracle ERP systems and business intelligence/reporting tools.
• Experience in Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and contract management, including ongoing supplier performance and governance activities.
• Professional procurement certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM, CIPM, CIPP, NGIP or equivalent) preferred but not required.
• Ability to identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste, improve cycle time, strengthen controls, and standardize practices.

• Ability to travel to the UK/USA as needed.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

The annual salary range for this role is $91,500–$115,000. The position is eligible for bonus/incentive pay. Benefits include paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k).
