Supply Chain Planner
Location: Waltham, MA
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $24.04 per hour
Position Type: Contract with Strong Potential for Permanent Hire
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Supply Chain Planner to support the day-to-day operations of our Supply Chain Planning team. This role is responsible for coordinating inventory movement, maintaining optimal inventory levels across the distribution center (DC) network, and ensuring the timely execution of critical supply chain transactions.
This is an excellent opportunity for a supply chain professional looking to gain hands‑on experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, inventory planning, and cross‑functional supply chain operations while contributing to the efficiency and performance of a dynamic supply chain network.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate Stock Transfer Orders (STOs) for assigned SKUs across the distribution center network.
- Monitor inventory health and inventory levels across multiple DC locations to ensure product availability.
- Utilize SAP Materials Management (SAP MM) to track inventory, process material movements, and support inventory management activities.
- Execute daily operational reporting and analyze key supply chain metrics.
- Manage truck loading activities within SAP to support efficient distribution operations.
- Use IFS to create purchase orders, receive materials, and process outbound shipments.
- Support financial reporting and inventory projection activities.
- Assist with scrap approval processes and inventory disposition decisions.
- Monitor SKU shipment activity and proactively address potential supply chain disruptions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Logistics, Procurement, and Finance to support business objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, logistics, or related operations preferred.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP MM ,
IFS , or similar platforms preferred. - Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and process improvement.
