Import Compliance Administrative Coordinator
Location: Waltham, MA
Pay: $20.41 - $30.00 per hour
Schedule: Hybrid schedule with onsite work 1-2 days per week
We are seeking a detail-oriented Import Compliance Administrative Coordinator to support import operations, trade compliance activities, customs documentation, and administrative functions. This temporary opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience in import/export logistics, customs compliance, supply chain administration, or international trade operations.
Key Responsibilities- Review, organize, and maintain import documentation, including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, and Customs Entry Records (7501s).
- Support trade compliance activities by researching and maintaining HTS classifications within ERP systems.
- Assist with Duty Drawback (DDB) processes, documentation preparation, and customs-related record management.
- Retrieve data from broker portals, track shipments, and respond to basic logistics inquiries.
- Generate reports, extract data using Excel, and support KPI tracking and reporting.
- Perform administrative duties including scheduling, calendar management, meeting coordination, supply ordering, mail distribution, and document routing.
- Collaborate with customs brokers, logistics providers, and internal departments to support efficient import operations.
- High School Diploma or GED required;
Bachelor's degree preferred. - Previous experience in import/export administration, trade compliance, logistics, customs, or supply chain operations preferred.
- Familiarity with import documentation, HTS classifications, and trade compliance processes.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment.
- Must be able to provide required ITAR documentation on the first day of employment.
