Job Summary
Ensures day-to-day upkeep, maintenance and smooth operation of the building and campus.

Pay$35.00 per hour to $40.00 per hour.
Responsibilities- Execute hands‑on repairs and preventative maintenance for architectural elements, including doors, drywall, painting, and specialized lab cabinetry.
- Manage external contractors and provide logistical support for internal events while assisting the wider Facilities team with general upkeep.
- Maintain the safety and structural integrity of a Biotech R&D facility, adhering strictly to all site protocols and regulations.
- Physical tasks such as moving heavy furniture, equipment and supplies; mows and trims lawns and shrubbery; clears debris; removes snow from sidewalks, driveways and parking areas; applies snow‑melting chemicals.
- Perform minor repairs to doors, fixtures and furniture; make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing and electrical systems.
- Clean and restore building interiors damaged by fire, smoke or water using commercial cleaning equipment; sweep, mop, scrub or vacuum floors; gather and empty trash; service, clean and supply restrooms.
- Monitor building security and safety by locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use.
- Set up, arrange and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders and scaffolding to prepare facilities for special events.
- Spray insecticides and fumigants to prevent insect and rodent infestation.
- Monitor contract cleaning crew’s work and requisition supplies and equipment for cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Notify managers about the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Valid Non‑CDL Class C driver's license.
- Prior facilities experience preferred; experience in commercial building maintenance, specifically in carpentry, painting, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.
