National Grid is hiring a Manager for our Contract Management department in Waltham, MA. This is a hybrid position.

Lead and coach a team responsible for contract development and commercial oversight of outsourced construction and EPC projects including contract development, change management, contract compliance, risk management, dispute resolution and identification of capex efficiencies.

• Oversight of team supporting a portfolio of outsourced capital projects:
  • Contract Development

• Proactive and effective leadership
  • Lead, motivate and develop required department capability
  • Establish and maintain relationships both internally and externally
  • Utilize time management skills including ability to quickly understand, analyze and prioritize a broad range of issues, follow-through and complete deliverables on time
  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication of both basic and complex information, at all management levels across internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead analysis and resolution of contract and commercial issues as they pertain to outsourced construction and EPC contracts

• A bachelor s degree is required
• 5+ years of experience in contracts, construction management, or project management within the electric utility industry required
• 2+ years of experience managing, coaching teams and developing employees preferred
• 2+ years of experience with EPC or large-scale capital delivery contracts preferred
• Microsoft Office proficiency including Power BI, MS Teams, SharePoint, Power Point, Excel and Word required
• Valid driver s license with a safe driving history that meets National Grid s Safe Driver policy required

Salary

$141,000 - $166,000 a year

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
