Purpose and Scope
The Manager, Field Services meets or exceeds service needs for all applicable company manufacturing and/distributed equipment within the assigned region(s). The incumbent is responsible for managing the assigned team(s) to ensure service operations within the assigned function(s) are in compliance with company policies, procedures and standards.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities- Manage the tactical execution of short- and long‑term objectives through coordination of activities, with direct responsibility for results, including costs, methods, and staffing.
- Oversee field service operations for the assigned region(s) to meet or exceed goals and objectives in compliance with all applicable company policies and procedures; participate in budget development processes as necessary.
- Handle confidential patient and/or health information in compliance with company policies and procedures, HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
- Monitor field service inventory within the assigned region(s) to ensure data accuracy and integrity while minimizing write‑offs.
- Maintain assigned company vehicle, credit card(s) and other business accounts in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the improvement of ongoing operations within the assigned function(s) to maximize efficacy and efficiency in alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Conduct meetings with all employees within the assigned team(s) on a routine basis to highlight current business, equipment status, development opportunities, and future business plans.
- Manage training and development for all employees within the assigned team(s) to ensure field service continuity at all times.
- Provide leadership, coaching and development plans for direct reports to maintain an engaged and productive workforce; partner with Human Resources on employee matters.
- Provide technical guidance to team members.
- Assist with various projects as assigned.
- Additional responsibilities may include focus on one or more departments or locations.
The position requires reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Exposure to blood‑borne pathogens and/or hazardous materials may be possible. Routine lifting and/or moving up to 70 pounds is required. Moderate level of travel may be required.
SupervisionMay be responsible for the direct supervision of various levels of field service staff.
EducationBachelor's Degree required;
Advanced Degree desirable.
- 6–8 years of related experience.
- 3+ years of supervisory or project/program management experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and project planning processes.
- Strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and email applications.
- Excellent customer service skills to handle confidential information with professionalism, discretion and tact.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively lead cohesive and productive teams.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and all levels of management.
Annual rate: $73,800 - $123,000. Benefit overview includes medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) with company match, paid time off, parental leave and potential performance‑based bonuses.
