Our client is a leading energy and utility infrastructure organization responsible for the planning, development, and delivery of large-scale electric transmission and capital construction projects that support grid modernization, reliability, and the transition to cleaner energy resources.
Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Lead Project Manager to oversee complex, high-value electric infrastructure and transmission construction projects throughout New England. This role will lead projects from planning and permitting through execution and closeout, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, schedule, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead strategic electric transmission and capital construction projects from initiation through completion.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to established quality standards.
- Manage permitting, siting, regulatory approvals, and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and performance reports.
- Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate contractors, consultants, engineering teams, and internal business partners.
- Present project status updates to senior leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement of project management processes.
- Mentor and support junior project management staff.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of project management experience within electric utility, energy, transmission, construction, or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong experience managing large capital projects and budgets.
- 5+ years of project financial forecasting and reporting experience.
- 5+ years of team leadership experience.
- Primavera P6, Procore, and/or Power Plan experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- PMP, APM, PE, or related certification preferred.
