Position SummaryWe’re seeking a Media Manager to join Welch’s Integrated Marketing & Communications team. This role manages strategic, data‑driven media planning and activation across brand, innovation, and business initiatives — delivering connected, measurable, and growth‑oriented consumer experiences across paid and retail media ecosystems. You will lead the end‑to‑end media strategy, manage our agency partner, and work cross‑functionally with Brand, Sales, eCommerce, and Consumer Insights teams to ensure paid media investments drive both short‑term performance and long‑term brand equity.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Drive a full‑funnel, omnichannel paid media strategy across brand and innovation, from awareness through conversion, loyalty, and retention
- Lead the media agency relationship, including strategic briefings, plan development, investment allocation, execution, optimization, billing, and performance reviews
- Advance media planning and optimization using audience insights, first‑party data, AI‑enabled tools, and predictive analytics
- Govern our retail media strategy, execution and partnerships, including Search + Sponsored Products, custom media partnerships, and Joint Business Planning (JBPs) with key retailers. All in close collaboration with Brand and Sales teams and support from IMC leadership
- Champion modern measurement frameworks, including MMX, incrementality testing, clean rooms, and outcome‑based KPIs tied to business growth
- Serve as a strategic media advisor to brand teams, translating emerging media, technology, and platform innovation into clear, actionable media recommendations
- Integrate creator, influencer, and content ecosystems into broader media strategies to drive cultural relevance and commerce, through tight alignment with our Brand Engagement team
- Continuously test, learn, and evolve, fostering a culture of experimentation, learning, and innovation across the marketing organization.
- A media thought‑leader with strong strategic instincts and a ‘test‑and‑learn’ mindset. Agility, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns at once, is critical
- Deeply passionate about CPG, staying on top of industry and cultural trends with a keen understanding of shopper media and innovative media technologies with a consumer‑led mindset
- Fluent in both brand and performance media, with the ability to connect storytelling to outcomes. Data centricity is key.
- A collaborative partner who thrives in cross‑functional environments – especially with Sales and Brand teams
- A clear, confident communicator who can simplify complexity and influence stakeholders
- Nimble, adaptable, action‑oriented and energized by change in a fast‑moving media ecosystem
- Highly organized with strong project management and attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related or relevant field
- 5+ years of progressive media experience, agency and/or client‑side
- Proven expertise in omnichannel media strategy and activation, including:
- Retail media networks (RMN's)
- Paid social (You Tube, Meta, Tik Tok, Pinterest, emerging platforms)
- Digital Media
- Search (SEO/SEM)
- Programmatic & digital video (CTV, OLV etc)
- Streaming, audio, OOH
- Product sampling and experiential media
- Influencer / creator marketing
- Experience managing or working with media agencies and media partners, retailer accounts and IAT's (integrated agency teams)
- Strong experience in media measurement, attribution, and analytics, including KPI design, dashboards, tagging, and performance storytelling
- Understanding of eCommerce, and performance marketing, especially retailer platforms and marketplaces
