Donor Relations Manager

Job Description

Hours: Monday-Friday; 8AM-4:30PM; full time; 40 hours

Summary: Reporting Vice President for Philanthropy, the Donor Relations Manager will develop and implement plans to cultivate and retain all donors. S/he will create and implement annual, capital, memorial, and major gift donors. Based in the Greater Boston office, the Donor Relations Manager will maintain a portfolio of major gift prospects. S/he will work closely with senior leadership, leadership volunteers, colleagues, and community leaders to identify and generate major gift support.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Five to seven years relevant experience, encompassing major or planned gifts fundraising; CFRE preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with major donors, leadership staff, and volunteers.
• Superior written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Energetic self-starter, able to take initiative and work independently.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook. Development database knowledge required;
  Raiser’s Edge preferred.
• Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
