Full-Time, Day shift
- Conduct preoperative interviews and assessments to capture patient information.
- Verify patient identity, surgical site, and informed consent.
- Prepare the OR by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile fields.
- Ensure that surgical supplies and medications specific to the procedure are available.
- Manage non-sterile activities, such as positioning, equipment management, and documentation.
- Coordinate with different departments to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the surgery.
- Ensure proper handover and communication during transition of phases or changes in staffing.
- Respond quickly to intraoperative emergencies.
- Document necessary information in patient chart and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Experience: 0-1 year of clinical nursing experience required; 1 year of OR RN experience strongly preferred; 2 years of RN experience strongly preferred

Certifications:
Current RN License in Massachusetts required
