The Company

We are Alloy Therapeutics—an ecosystem company empowering the global scientific community to make better medicines together. Through a community of partners, we democratize access to pre‑competitive tools, technologies, services, and company creation capabilities that are foundational for discovering and developing therapeutic biologics. The company facilitates affordable, non‑exclusive access to the entire drug discovery community from academic scientists and small and medium biotech to the largest biopharma.

At Alloy, we believe the industry should compete on getting the best drugs to patients as quickly as possible, not exclusive access to the best platforms. We reinvest 100% of our revenue in innovation and access to innovation.

The Team

Alloy’s In Vitro Pharmacology team collaborates with drug discovery partners to conduct in vitro studies on therapeutic candidates across diverse modalities. Our team delivers comprehensive functional screening and characterization of biologics to support discovery and selection of lead candidates. Primary modalities are monoclonal, multispecific, and TCR‑mimic antibodies, but also include cell therapies and genetic medicines. As Alloy Tx enters its next phase of growth, we are expanding our capabilities to include mechanistic studies that enhance preclinical development and further advance our translational research efforts.

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Scientist for in vitro screening and pre‑clinical development to join our dynamic and fast‑paced team. In this role, you will support execution of in vitro functional cell‑based assays to evaluate the potency, mechanism of action, and pharmacological properties of biologic therapeutics. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, a commitment to scientific excellence, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment.

You will report to the Associate Director of In Vitro Pharmacology and will work collaboratively in a matrixed environment to drive biologics discovery while supporting rapid decision‑making in a fast‑moving biotech setting.

How You’ll Drive Impact
  • Execute: Perform in vitro characterization and functional assays to screen drug candidate molecules.
  • Develop: Optimize experimental workflows for more efficient and effective data.
  • Deliver: Support screening campaigns to meet experimental timelines for monoclonal and multispecific antibodies, as well as TCR‑mimic antibodies.
  • Collaborate: Work closely across multi‑disciplinary teams in biologics discovery programs spanning all Alloy sites. Engage with an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
  • Communicate: Clearly convey scientific concepts, experimental results, and interpretations to internal and external stakeholders.
Principal Responsibilities
  • Design, optimize, and execute cell‑based assays (e.g., cell binding and/or blocking assays, functional assays, etc.) using immortalized cell lines, primary cells, and other disease‑relevant cellular systems.
  • Maintain cell lines in culture using aseptic techniques.
  • Process human leukopaks, isolate and characterize human PBMCs.
  • Support day‑to‑day lab and experimental workflows.
  • Effectively collaborate across divisional or departmental teams and with external partners to drive projects forward and obtain test materials and reagents.
  • Present experimental data and findings during team and departmental meetings.
  • Ensure timely and successful execution of project activities in alignment with project plans and priorities.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate laboratory records in compliance with industry standards.
  • Maintain laboratory organization and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Qualifications
  • B.S. and M.S. in Cell or Molecular Biology, or a related field, with 2‑4 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong understanding of immunology and extensive hands‑on laboratory experience are essential.
  • Significant cell culture and flow cytometry experience required.
  • Experience with antibody‑based therapeutics is required.
  • Proficient at fundamental cell and molecular biology assays (ELISA/MSD, Alpha

    LISA, and other methods).
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize…
